Decided to open up my boil kettle to check the wiring because the thermostat doesn’t seem to be working very well. It switches off the kettle too soon and I was having trouble boiling my wort continuously.
Then, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to check out how the inside of the thermostat (the white rectangle) looked like. Took some photos of the wiring so I won’t forget how to wire them back properly.
Big mistake. Turns out the screws were holding a few metal pieces in place and once I removed the screws, the metal pieces came apart before I even got to see how they were assembled. Took me hours to put it back together. It doesn’t work as before but at least I can still boil with it.
Did I regret taking it apart? A little. But if I hadn’t, I would still be having problems boiling my wort. So, I guess sometimes you just have to take a step backwards before moving forward again.
